Hey Kari girl,

cool accents you got there. My spanish tutor at UH says I have a very good accent in spanish!! I think she was being nice though. I am suppose to be doing spanish, but since my homework is on the internet, the internet distracts me!!

Blaino, we are getting weather warnings(twice this morn) prepare for a fast moving cold front, winds 30-40 mph in just a few hours!! Right now it is so calm..the calm before the storm!! very exciting!! Hows that African CD. I got 2 more, I keep meaning to copy for you.."euro lounge" ( I really like it) and "arabic groove" very good as well. I wish we could send songs through emails, or maybe one can, I just don't know how!!

Enjoy CATs Kari, I hear it is awesome!!!

back to my tarea (homework)
love to you all

Hi Kari,

hmmm...maybe you sound like a Californian--you did say that California has the reached the pinnacle of geography--and that people don't note you live in California --rather than America.

Your brothers are so different regarding the writing, aren't they. Blaine is becoming such a good writer. Aunt Kathy said a funny-- "Blaine was so late in writing we thought he was mentally retarded-- and he is so witty." Kyle's writing is sooooo..abstract. Wouldn't you say?

Your father is off with an ancient oldster cutting up his mobile home frame in pieces to make a trailer. The oldster is standing beside him blabbering away, no doubt telling funny stories. Meanwhile we are airing out the "new" trailer--its a bit musty & moldy inside. The roof leaks. Pop'll fix that and we are gonna rip out the ceiling, reinsulate it and put a new ceiling in. Hopefully the appliances will work with a minimum of work.

Took Blaine to a yard sale and we got him a new bike--we as in he approved it and I bought it for $120 to replace the Walmart bike. The bike that permanently scarred his leg and nearly cost him his life --ejecting him in an inteersection. Blaine also got a new fly rod--a steal.

It is clear today--cool and windy--60's--when do you suppose it will warm up like that there?

Tell me more about the communist demo--maybe I could turn it in to my UCSD class as a cultural experience!

How's CATS?

WOW...I was just checking out your archives. Did you know you've been there a long time now? You don't have much more time left. Of course, you Do still have the eurotrip thingy to look foreward to. Looks like you're going to have to find a pretty swanky job back home to finance your next trip eh? Oh yeah...what's with disrespecting your faja by removing my last post? Did I say something to offend you? Or maybe someone else?? Or maybe it got deleted somehow else? Maybe it was a blogworm! Damn blogworms.
As I recal, the comment had to do something to do with you sending us some video tapes so that we can share your "year of your life" experiences.
Please...send video.

First, Kari your video camera investors are getting cranky...better produce a production soon!!! Or they will start a something embarrassing.....

Blaine, it was your elementry teachers that though you was touched' in the head since you didn't talk much way back then. It was NEVER ever me...But I truly do enjoy your writing and your observations of the locals in Arcata!! Very colorful, aren't they!!

How was CATS, Uncle Paul to me to see "Ballet Hispanico" up in the theater dist. of Houston. Very swank and nice theater complex in downtown. Fortunately casual dress was as acceptable as fancy. I was casual. The ballet was a mix of modern, jazz and latin. It was really enjoyable.

Off to learn about registering Korinn for high school. the public free one!!

Adios mi familia,

Hey Kar, Where's pop's blog????It be gone. He was just checking out his words of wisdom and other creative writing when he squawked like a chicken, (or maybe Jack Osborne), "My blog is gone" My blog is gone" My blog is gone" He searched furtively for it but, alas, 'tis gone. Forever?

Spring has arrived. 70's later this week. Eat your heart out.

Hester Sue is beside me rousting in for a long nights roost on the window sil just outside beside the computer. She is concluding her pacing, pecking, and prancing routine before she settles down and tucks her head away for the eve. cluck cluck

I guess I suppose I ought to consider the dinner program. Tata

Kari,,,your mom mentioned Hester sue...I feel so bad in telling you..or did I already..Specks is in the freezer. And I don't think he can be revived. Well he may intice a few fish as he is but I don't thinkwe will ever hear him crow again!!! We do now here Echo who couldn't crow when DAddy Specks was around for fear of getting plummeted with fierce pecks in and about the eyes and comb. (which by the way is still every bruised and scabbed and left eye still does not stay open long, infact this a.m. we decided it is not at all round like his right eye and he keeps it closed alot.
But//// CATS! I am envious!!! Do you like plays?? I saw Mama Mia in Sacramento this summer I was in AWE!!! It was so great! I keep thinking I should check at the video store and see if they have live plays on film. Of course I have to take time to do that and as someone else told you...the SUN is out. So I am out morning til dark and then I can be in the green house planting my $100+ of seeds!!! The overflow is in the house! It is so exciting. Way better I am sure than all that cold snow boarding.
Hey///about the commie parade. Be careful. Aunt Susie use to hang out witn some commie that rolled his cigarettes with toilet paper. He got arrested attending one of their parades!!! For some reason Suzanne got disenchanted with him. His picture was often in the paper!!! Maybe she didnt'like the lime light!
Blaine was here last week end. I can not believe no one told me about the near death situation with Blaine on a bike!!! I much call him. Whoa, its almost midnight better not.
Hey, love you little ladyt, saw your friend Joe the other day in the black and white car. Wanted DAvid to pull along side so I could shout some obsenity but he wouldn't do it. I really would have said something nice about like....Hey this little ole lady is your sweeties granny! He probably would have just given me the finger.
Just keep having a great time. love you lots Granny

Well looks like this is a happenin blog. I'm happy to be recognized in my old car, I am fairly certain though, that I wouldn't have flipped you off. I wish I knew what all of those accents actually sounded like so i could judge them. The German exchange student at foothill asked me the other day if i was German. It took me a second then I realized it was because i was wearing the shirt you sent me. I started talkin to him and I guess he has heard all about the frontiersmen and wishes he could come to Alaska with us, but he is going home too soon. so its too bad, we could use someone else to split gas costs with. I'm glad you enjoyed CATS, just dont try to take me to one of those shows when you come back. alright better go get my old car warmed up for the journey to school.

,Joe

Wow ! happenin' spot indeed! An old comment site to boot, and all this new skittle. That is what my ole granny to call "talk." (Crazy grandma.--my side of the familia)

It is 6:00am and all is quiet indoor. Ozzy bailed out of bed with me and she is sitting stone still in front of the wood stove staring into the blazing fire. Ja, it is no 23 below, but is 22 above--which is cold, nonetheless!
I normally am readin' the paper but the paper deliveryperson is eith behind schedule or she slipped off an icy road. Maybe her hand froze up?

kari, where are the forest pics you talked about?.. I need some new desktop backgrounds for my FIVE computers in my classroom--D. Engdahl got them donated to me from govt. surplus.I have the Black Forest and the Swiss Alps--but I need 3 more.

Joe's goin' to Alaska. When? We need to schedule the "roof" party around everyones vacation. Putting a roof on is definitely a not to be missed experience. Just kidding, Joe--Blaine and Kyle would love to help! NOT!

Better get movin, the day is dawning... love you, mom
